Learning Outcomes:
An understanding of the seasonal snowpack and how to track conditions.
Enhanced leadership skills for backcountry travel.
Enhanced mapping and tour planning.
Practice with pinpointed observations to decrease uncertainty.
Itinerary:
Each tour will include a 1-2 hour zoom session the evening prior to going out.
The first tour will be a instructor demonstration lead by an IFMGA guide.
The final 3 tours will be student led with the opportunity for each student to take point while facilitating strong team collaboration. Extensive pre course support from the instructor is available and encourage.
