AIARE 1 and Beginning Backcountry Mentorship

$950.00

This three-day, $300 add-on to your AIARE Level 1 course provides a foundation in backcountry travel that isn’t covered in Level 1 alone. You’ll have a structured, mentored opportunity to build confidence in trip planning, uphill travel, gear management, and more.

Spread across the winter, the program explores terrain in and around Snoqualmie Pass. You’ll watch the snowpack evolve and avalanche conditions change while spending extended time with your travel partners. This creates an ideal environment to develop communication and risk-management skills as a team.

And, of course, you’ll get to ski some great snow along the way!

* This is a group course and requires a minimum two participants to run. If you register and this threshold is not met, you will be offered the opportunity to choose different dates or receive a full refund. To book a private course, please head to the Contact page and send an email.
