Intro to backcountry skiing day before your avalanche course at a 6:1 ratio (January 9th). Learn how to use your gear, how to set an efficient track, practice some kick turns and how to plan a route to make touring easier.
Online avalanche education (2 - two hour sessions on 6-8:30pm on Jan 6th & 8th)
An AIARE Level 1 avalanche course 6:1 ratio (January 10/11)
Two days of ski touring with your avalanche instructor at a 3:1 ratio. You’ll practice all that you’ve learned while getting in some turns. (Saturdays Jan 31st & Feb 28th) or (Sunday Feb 1 & Mar 1)

This an entry level course for skier and riders new to the backcountry.
